A new form of self expression?

I'm surprised it's taken me this long to start my own blog.

I like my life. People find my life interesting whenever I talk about it... so why not open a bit of it up for anyone who randomly click-click-clicks and lands on me? I welcome all comments, by the way.

Did you know that penguins pick partners for mating and tend to stay with them? At the New England Aquarium, the boy penguins wear bracelets on their left wing and the ladies wear them on the right wing. The colors are matched up by couple.

Billy says this is because there is no pimping allowed at the aquarium.

We didn't see any penguin action (penguin porn? do we pay extra for that?) this trip, but there was one very lethargic sea turtle who appeared to have had a long night in the giant ocean tank. We speculated on which of the other turtles was the lucky gal. Certainly not the 65 year old Myrtle!

Another 4-5" of snow has fallen on my car and on my balcony. I would rather have snow than bitter arctic cold temps, so I'll keep the complaining to a minimum. Besides, it gives me an excuse to stay home and paint my nails.

It isn't always easy to discern if a male penguin is a "gentleman". It would require much observation to see if the male penguin looked after his female counterpart, made sure she was happy and satisfied, fed and entertained. I'm not sure many of the male penguins would fit the role of gentlemen. It is unfortunate that the true gentleman penguin seems uncommon, but he would be a much sought after and cherished bird once discovered.

Females are always ladies until they prove themselves otherwise.

Anyone who takes the time to discover what a rare species you are will soon find out that you are far different from the rest. Softer feathers, superior hunting skills, swim like a fish, always allow the lady penguins to hop in the water before you...

Besides, who's going to see your wing band when you spend most of your time in the cave with your special lady penguin friend? Once we emerge, still stroking wings and nuzzling beaks, no one will doubt that we wear a very unique wing band.
